It began in 2024 when Jack (‘JJ’) went on a hike in the mossy woods of New Hampshire with his Blue Heeler pup Nova, and a camera. There’s one photo from that evening would inspire capturing the essence and spirit of hundreds more dogs and their owners over the following three years.

J.J. is an award winning portrait photographer and commercial, documentary, and narrative cinematographer.

A smiling man with a beard and short hair kneels on the grass holding a black and brown dog in a field of tall yellow grass during sunset, with mountains in the background.

In addition to photography, Jack is currently documenting an effort to preserve Dimple Dell Park, the largest urban park in the west— second only in size to Central Park in New York City. Dimple Dell, which we’re working to ‘keep wild,’ is located in Sandy, Utah.
